Our Mission….​

To raise awareness and promote active involvement for the repair and conservation of the oceans which make up 72% of the surface of the planet.​

As land creatures, we are often unaware of the interdependency of the health of the oceans with the health of the land masses.

Eben and Heidi Lou were created as characters to represent oceanic environmental issues from the viewpoints of marine life.  They begin their mission with their meeting in this first book which addresses the overfishing of the seas by factory fishing vessels which are indiscriminate in their catch.  Many marine mammals and other marine life are killed or harmed by these methods.  Eben and Heidi will continue their journey in subsequent adventures, addressing serious environmental problems such as pollution in the form of chemical runoff and oil spills from transportation and offshore drilling.  The pollution of the oceans by plastics and other non-biodegradable substances, as well as the controversial subject of climate change will also be brought to light.  We hope you will join Eben and Heidi Lou in these further adventures and will become active in your community, helping to make people aware of the delicate balance of marine ecology.
